The Hadrian Lodge, formed in 1893 is the oldest lodge in Bexhill and as such is the home of Freemasonry in the community with a long and proud history. We have a  good cross section of people from all walks of life who cherish long lasting friendships and want to have fun. Many local dignitaries have been members and a quick glance at our list of Past Masters or active officers may reveal that you have a relation or friend who is or was part of your family.

Our social calendar is second to none. We have an active and enthusiastic social committee who regularly organise social events throughout the year. These include a race night, a steak and kidney might, summer BBQ, white table lunch, Ladies Night, Christmas Carol dinner, all of which are open to not only members of the lodge but also friends and family members. The main aim is always to have fun, but we also use some events to raise money for our supported charities. We are very conscious of our Charity obligations as every penny we donate comes from our own efforts.

New members are always welcome. If you are interested and want to find out more please look at the Join Us page.

If you are already a Freemason and wish to visit, you will receive a warm welcome both in Lodge and, if you wish to dine, at the Festive Board. We have own ritual traditions which you may find of interest. This may be particularly attractive if you are visiting Bexhill for a break. Please use the Contact page or contact our secretary.

Finally, as we all know, many people retire to the South Coast and may find that they are unable to attend their own lodges. Please do not hesitate to come to one of our meetings, you will find that you will meet and make many new friends.
